With each year, the new Heisman class continues to build on the legacy of those who have come before. This year, exceptional high school senior student-athletes can earn scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $10,000 from the Wendy’s High School Heisman Scholarship program.

The scholarship award comes at different levels Well, $500 will be awarded to one senior male and one senior female from each state. However, the 88 state winners who do not move on to the national level will still receive a $500 award. At the national level, the 12 nationalist finalists will receive $1000 as a scholarship award. Also, all national finalists who are not announced as national winners will get an award scholarship worth $5000. Finally, an award worth $5000 will be given to one senior male and one senior female selected by the judging panel. This selection is made from the 12 National Finalists. How Do I Apply for the Scholarship program?

To successfully send in an application, you must first choose a reviewer. This could be a counselor from your school, an administrator or a teacher who is not related to you. Then log on to the application portal by clicking on the apply button below to access the online application system. Remember you must have to create an account and establish a username alongside a password. One that you can easily remember. Carefully, complete the application and submit on before the stipulated deadline. Successful candidates will get a notification around November.

When is the Scholarship deadline for Heisman?

The online application system for the 2022 session is not yet open. Applications for the 2022 session ended on 20th October. Over the years, applications usually resume every first week of October and end on the last week. Basically, the deadline for this scholarship has not been stipulated. Once it is slated, it will reflect on this article. So, do well to check back as often as you can to get the latest updates. After School Winners have been selected, reviewers will be emailed a printable School Winner certificate. For students who earned a scholarship, information regarding their scholarship will be mailed directly to the student’s current email address, as given in the application form. This is NOT a required question. You can complete this question if your high school reports class rank. Class rank as of the end of the junior year is sufficient. The question is not used for judging purposes, but the National Committee may use it as a comparison tool when selecting the National Winners. The Heisman High School Scholarship Program recognizes the top competitive participating sports in the U.S. as recognized by the Olympic Games as well as the National Federation of State High School Associations. The reviewer can be any adult employed by your school who has access to your student records and who can confirm the information provided. For example, the reviewer can be a person in the guidance office, a teacher, or a member of the administration. The reviewer cannot be a student, and the reviewer cannot be related to the applicant. You cannot change the reviewer once the application has been submitted. If you need to change your reviewer after your application has been submitted, your application will need to be unsubmitted. Once unsubmitted, you can change your reviewer and re-submit your application. After re-submitting your application, your reviewer will be sent an instructional email.
