This is ONLY open For applicants strictly from APDNL Host Communities. Only Indigenes of APDNL Host Communities in Rivers, Akwa Ibom, and Imo States SHOULD apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
The National Merit Awards | NNPC scholarship for undergraduate
This is a National merit current scholarship for Nigerian undergraduates open to non-indigenes of the host communities. Therefore if you are not from Rivers state, Akwa Ibom, or Imo state, you are eligible to apply for this category of the scholarship scheme. The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation(NNPC) is the oil corporation through which the federal government of Nigeria regulates and participates in the country’s petroleum industry. Therefore as a way of contributing to the Nigerian community, introducing the NNPC scholarship for undergraduates was a welcome development that has over the years see intelligent and talented Nigerian students without hope of finishing their higher education go through school.
Scholarship worth:
The scholarship is worth N 100,000 annually throughout your study year for university students but for polytechnic students, it’s only for the OND Ordinary National Diploma(2years).

Registered Full-TIME undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary InstitutionsCertified 100 level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in 2018/2019 academic session)For OND students, the award will be for 2 years only

How To Apply for the NNPC / ADDAX Scholarships
Over the years students who apply for this scholarship usually send their applications and documents to a provided email address but that is not the case this year. The method of application has changed and we want you to carefully follow the steps given below. Application is open to 100 level students only. 1. Before you start this application, ensure you have clearly scanned copies of the following documents
Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)School ID CardO’level CertificateAdmission LetterBirth CertificateProof of Local Government Area of OriginLetter from Community Leader (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award)JAMB Result
- Ensure the documents are named according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents during upload3. Ensure you attach the appropriate documents when asked to upload4. Ensure to provide valid Email and Phone Contact for effective communication To apply, follow the steps below:1. Click on the “Apply Now” tab. 2. Click on “Register Now” to create an account. 3. Proceed to your email box to activate your account4. Click on www.scholastica.ng/schemes/addaxscholarship to return to Scholarship site5. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.6. Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information, and upload required scanned documents. 7. Ensure the name used in the application matches the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.8. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.9. When asked to upload a photo, a passport photograph with a white background is preferable.10. Recheck application information to avoid errors11. Click “Apply Now” to submit information12. You will receive an email and an SMS that confirms your application was successful.13. Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile, and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.15. If the National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)

Applications for the scholarship award without all the credentials stated above will be rejected.Any candidate currently a beneficiary of a Scholarship of any kind Is not eligible to apply.Dependants of employees of Addax are not eligible to apply.
NNPC/ADDAX Scholarship Aptitude test venues
Applicants must indicate their preferred center for the test Centers are NOTE: The aptitude test will take place at designated centers to be communicated to applicants on a later date and applicants are to fully bear the cost of transportation to and from Aptitude test centers.
