What is Next Generation Leaders (NGL) program about?

Next Generation Leaders (NGL) program is designed by the McCain Institute to help identify, train, network, and empower a diverse group of emerging, character-driven leaders from the United States and around the world. However, participants are expected to be in the United States for the entire program year which is one year to attend all four leadership development modules along with contributing to their placement organizations to gain the full NGL experience. McCain Institute’s Next Generation Leaders Eligibility

To be eligible for McCain Institute NGL Program, you must meet the following criteria:

Be between 30 to 45 years old, mid-career professional with at least 10 years of professional experience and a high degree of professional, academic, and work achievements;You must possess good communication skills and be fluent in English speaking.Be able to deliver or give oral presentations in front of small and large audiences, build a professional network, and create personal relationships with colleagues;Must demonstrate a commitment to the highest level of ethical leadership, provide decisive recommendations that substantiate their leadership qualities, making a commitment to return to their home environment at the end of the program year;To determine if you are a competitive candidate for the NGL Program

Deadline for McCain Institute’s Next Generation Leaders Program

The due date for submitting the application is on the 7th of February 2022. Note, the McCain Institute’s Next Generation Leaders Program application period runs from November to mid-February. Applications are not accepted on a rolling basis and must be submitted during the set application period for consideration. However, please note that our pool of candidates is highly competitive each year. Yes, we encourage our nominators to recommend as many qualified candidates as they can. Participants should have a decade or more of career experience. There is no specific age requirement, however, typical NGLs range from 30 to 45 years old. You do not need to be nominated in order to apply to the program. Applicants interested in applying to the program should proceed directly to the online application.  Please do not nominate yourself.
