Types of Hack Reactor Scholarship

The Hack Reactor is awarding various scholarships to people who demonstrate a commitment to launching their careers in software engineering.  Hack Reactor is offering scholarships in partnership with innovative organizations in our community. Scholarships are available at various times throughout the year – please continue to check this page for updates and new offerings.

Galvanize Scholarships

Education must be accessible to all and, to honor this commitment, Galvanize offers a full scholarship for April Hack Reactor Software Engineering and a full scholarship for the May Data Science Immersive. Only the following courses are eligible. The 18W course is NOT eligible for this scholarship opportunity.

Samsung Scholarship

This scholarship is available to veterans or Active Reserve or National Guard members who are experiencing financial difficulties. Applicants must submit military records to verify the scholarship eligibility. See below the program’s permission. Applicants are considered on a rolling basis until the $300,000 in funds are distributed. Any Hack Reactor Campus is eligible to apply. The application is Ongoing.

Samsung Scholarship

This scholarship is available to veterans or Active Reserve or National Guard members who are experiencing financial difficulties. Optimizely Scholarships

Hack Reactor @ Galvanize Software Engineering Immersive San Francisco and Optimizely offers three full scholarships and engineering internships to people with low representation in the world of technology. Optimizely and Hack Reactor team up to invest in underrepresented talents through their I / OWNit sponsorship. Together, they will provide 3 underrepresented students with a full scholarship to the Campus Hack Reactor in San Francisco. As well as an immersive life allowance of $1,500 per month, followed by an internship at Optimizely after graduation and access to Optimizely mentors. Applicants will participate in the 12-week Bootcamp Immersion Bootcamp of Hack Reactor @ Galvanize Software in San Francisco from December 2022. Also, he will combine with an Optimizely Mentor and begin a three-month paid internship at Optimizely after graduating in mid-March 2023. With a full scholarship to Hack Reactor @ Galvanize Software Engineering Immersive and a paid internship at Optimizely, you may have the opportunity to acquire it.

Hack Reactor Scholarship

As part of its mission to increase access to technology jobs for people of all work histories and experience levels, Hack Reactor is proud to announce its valuable scholarship fund of $1.3 million for people passionate about coding. Hack Reactor believes in a more diverse and equitable technology workforce. As part of our diversity and inclusion efforts, we will allocate at least 50% of all awards to underrepresented software engineering groups. Members of the Women, People of Color and LGBTQ community are strongly encouraged to submit their application.

Facebook Scholarship

The Facebook scholarship will feed the inclusion program of Telegraph Track, Diversity and Hack Reactor. Telegraph Track is an extension of the Hack Reactor Immersive program that aims to create a strong community to support the career of underrepresented software engineers. An additional full scholarship is still available and is being offered. Note: Due to current regulations, they cannot offer scholarships to people attending the New York campus at this time.

Team Austin Scholarship

The Austin Team seeks to have a significant impact on the Austin coding community by offering a $7,500 scholarship to a student who wishes to travel to Hack Reactor Austin. You can apply through the Hack Reactor scholarship portal. Note: Due to current regulations, they cannot offer scholarships to people attending the New York campus at this time.

Kapor Center Scholarship

Hack Reactor and Kapor Center have partnered to invest in several Oakland technology talents. In May 2017, they awarded Reyna Cabrera a full scholarship for Hack Reactor San Francisco. Since 2012, Hack Reactor has managed to turn programming enthusiasts into professional programmers in just 12 weeks. In the last 4 years, they have developed a solid network of more than 3,500 engineers, including 1.1600 in the San Francisco Bay area.

Docker Scholarship

In November 2016, we partnered with Docker to bring more diversity to the technology field. Together, we award three scholarships to our programs over a period of six months. These scholarships covered all tuition fees and were awarded to students who wanted to promote equality in their community. There isn’t a “typical” Hack Reactor applicant – their students come from a variety of backgrounds. Some come from adjacent fields such as design or IT and have tangentially worked with coding, and many come from unrelated fields, looking to gain a complete skill set and begin a career in engineering. A small number of students hold a CS degree and want to get web dev specific training before applying to jobs. First, review the web page of your desired immersive program: Onsite, Remote Full-Time, or Remote Part-Time for additional information to determine your cohort start date and associated admissions deadlines. Then review the Admissions Process page to learn more about our admissions process, learning options, and get started with the path that works best for you. Many of our students have started in a similar place, We provide introductory-level curriculum to teach you everything you need to know about the basics of JavaScript and how to solve problems like an engineer. All you need to do is get started with one of our prep options, which you can review on our Admissions Process page. More than any particular skill-set, the key to leveling up is perseverance and a drive to grapple with new challenges. New cohorts start about every seven weeks. You should apply as soon as you feel ready, but at least 2-3 months before your ideal start date. As a general rule of thumb: It’s (almost) never too early to apply.
